Celebrating the rich musical heritage of the Romani people, the high-spirited concert film GYPSY CARAVAN follows a handful of wandering musicians on their eclectic tour across the United States. Five bands with diverse nationalities and styles (spanning flamenco, jazz, and folk) joined together for this unique traveling show, intent on introducing the Roma culture and passion for performance to enthusiastic North American audiences. Shot in part by documentary legend Albert Maysles, the feature includes an in-depth interview with actor Johnny Depp about his love of the Gypsy music sound.
