Each "Early Years Theme Centre" is based on a popular early years
theme and contains: a collection of six theme-related stories and
information books for children aged three-to five; a 128-page
activity book full of practical ideas, with one chapter devoted to
each book in the box. All the activities are based on the "Early
Learning Goals" and there are links to the National Literacy and
Numeracy Strategies. There are also collections of photocopiable
resources including activity sheets, poems and templates. The final

based on the books and activities inside. The books in the Growing

(Walker); "The Red Woollen Blanket"- Bob Graham (Walker); "What's
This?"- Caroline Mockford (Barefoot); "Growing Up Henry"- Pluckrose
