playback singer, born as Niti Kakkar, in Rishikesh (then U.P. now
in Uttarakhand, India). At the age of five she started singing in
jagrans (Hindu devotional gatherings). After some years her family
shifted to New Delhi. Then famous Bollywood music director Sandeep
Chowta noticed her voice in a contest and the result is "babuji
zara dheere chalo."
