Gospel Helps (Paperback)

Gospel Helps gives a guided tour, in the Bible's own words, of who the Persons of God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - are, of the creation of the world and of man. Selected verses and passages from both Old and New Testaments describe the Fall of man, who having been given the freedom of personhood and chosen self-serving sin, incurred the separation from God. The way back to reconciliation is traced through the Law and the Covenants, the Patriarchs and Prophets, to Christ, who took the final punishment of separation with His own blood and life, thus buying back redemption for believers. A description of His ministry and teaching is then followed by that of the Apostles, who gave their lives - sometimes literally - in submission to Him, "without hope of earthly reward." But the final reward for believers of re-unification with Christ, described in the Book of Revelation, is hope-giving and awe-inspiring, taxing all attempts at description by those who have had glimpses of Heaven. The author's own personal reflections are interspersed in the text to act as a stimulus to thought and study. The book should be of value for private or group study, and as a teaching aid.
