Of the first, second, and fourth of them in the reprint, he says, in the passage (p. 85) already referred to: "As far as we know, these are the only remains of the existence of these pamphlets, which are now neither rare nor unique, but absolutely and totally lost." As will have been seen, I have had the good fortune to find that there are in the Royal Library at Stockholm copies of the original editions of all four. But, as the notes appended in the case of each will have shown, they contain virtually no new material; for they are, with but slight exceptions, merely separate issues of parts of the Argonautica, which Marquardus added to his reprint of the latter in ignorance or carelessness of the fact that he was thus repeating. ii.--writings not pr1nted. Under this head are included writings of Usselinx not printed by him or in his lifetime. In designating the copies of some of them at Albany I have used the notation of a provisional calendar of them which I left-there after concluding my examination of them. Excepting these fifteen (eleven of which are printed in Van Rees), and Nos. 3, 67, and 70, all the following are described from copies in'my own possession. In a few cases, it will be seen, there may be a doubt of authorship; I have had only copies by which to decide. 1.
