J.T will be proper in this chapter to consider the regulations of a general nature which relate to the time when game may be taken, the mode of taking it, the offence of buying and selling it, of an unqualified person having it in possession, and also the regulations which tend to preserve it, by prohibiting the (aking of eggs and burning of heath, &c. i. me Time The time when game may be taken may be When Bam consjderet under three heads: 1st. Season of st-With respect to the season of the year, th- year. there does not appear to be any regulation limit ing the time when hares may be killed, and consequently a qualified person may kill or have them in his possession at any time of the year.
