Gwen and the Elemental Magick - Book One: Elemental Series (Paperback)

Alicia had become trapped by her own actions to be forever cloaked and covered. Which most times did not bother her because it gave her peace and privacy. It only ever was a real problem in very warm weather like now, so it was a rare pleasure to enjoy such freedom, to enjoy the breeze on her bare skin and wind in her hair without having to bespell the air around her. Alicia closed her eyes and leaned back on her elbows stretching her legs and letting the slight breeze play in her hair, she was in a very calm and relaxed state of mind. But as always her senses were aware of all around her, the birds in the trees and crawling things in the grass, even the distant tinkle of the river not far from their camp. She could sense the warmth of all the nearby creatures including human heat signatures. Because she was so confident in her extraordinary abilities and heightened senses, she was given the shock of her life by the sound and proximity of a soft, deep male voice whispering in her ear. She had even felt the warmth of his breath tingling along the bare skin of her ear and neck. She sat up suddenly looking frantically around her but saw no one at all, nothing had changed in the scenery around her, but she was suddenly very uncomfortable and aware of the feeling of eyes on her. Alicia grabbed for her cloak, pulling it quickly over her head. She struggled desperately for a few seconds trapped in the material of her cloak before she was able to pull it over her head properly and bury her face deep into the wide hood. Deeply disturbed by what had just happened, she pulled the cape more firmly around her and focused her attention inward calling to her senses, to reveal to her what was happening.
