Chad Robert Orvella (born October 1, 1980 in Redmond, Washington) is a Major League Baseball relief pitcher who is currently in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization. He spent his college career at North Carolina State University as their starting shortstop and would also pitch in certain situations. Orvella was drafted in the 13th round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft by Tampa Bay. In 2004, he was named the Devil Rays minor league pitcher of the year. Orvella made his major league debut on May 31, 2005, against the Oakland Athletics.
