Robert Nutting (born March 29, 1962 in Wheeling, West Virginia)is Chairman of the Board and the principal owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball. He is also President and CEO of Ogden Newspapers Inc. and Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania, a four-season resort 60 miles east of Pittsburgh. Robert Nutting became the sixth principal owner in Pirates history on January 12, 2007. He has served as Chairman of the Board and represented his family's interest in the club since 2003. In September 2007 he hired Frank Coonelly as the new president of the ballclub who, in turn, hired Neal Huntington as the team's general manager. In 2010, Nutting was rated Major League Baseball's worst owner by ESPN.
