Robert Proznik (Paperback)

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Robert Proznik is an Edmonton area business man. He is the current owner of Millbourne Mall and other properties. In 2008 he was at the center of a controversy when he attempted to restrict access to two Edmonton area attractions, Rabbit Hill Snow Resort and Shalom Water Ski Park. The road used to access the areas for the last fifty years was located on a piece of land he had recently purchased. After many failed attempt at negotiating a deal with the resorts, Proznik tried to use legal courses to have the road closed to public use. Council for the areas objected to this attempt to hold the resorts hostage, and his legal council argued the trial was unfair to Proznik as he was out of the country for the entire proceedings (Despite having much advanced notice). The result was unanimously to keep the road open to public access. Proznic also attempted in the late nineties to purchase the Edmonton Oilers from Peter Pocklington, in a bid to keep the team in the city.
