Its seat is the village of Przem t, which lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-east of Wolsztyn and 60 km (37 mi) south-west of the regional capital Pozna . The gmina covers an area of 225.31 square kilometres (87.0 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 13,494. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Przem t Landscape Park.
