Highway 901 or SC 901) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It runs from SC 200 in Fairfield County, South Carolina, north to the intersection of SC 161 and SC 274 in Rock Hill. The highway has two interchanges with I-77; one in rural Chester County, South Carolina, and another near Rock Hill in York County, South Carolina. 7.8 miles of the highway is located within the city limits of Rock Hill. The SC Highway 901 construction in York County is a "pennies for progress" project that will be completed in summer 2010. This project will make 901 a four-lane highway from SC Highway 72 in Rock Hill to I-77 in York County. The project will decrease congestion between Rock Hill and Interstate 77. After 901 is complete, SC Highway 72 will be widened between Main Street and SC Highway 901. The hope is to have a four-six lane belt around the city of Rock Hill.
