The village had many American-Chinese that already moved overseas over 100 years ago. There used to be around 1000 villagers many decades ago according to the old wise man from the Xiqi village. As time goes, most of the villagers moved to the US, most of the villagers settle in the San Francisco area but few others moved out of the San Francisco already as time settles down. As most villagers moved out of the village, there are less than 50 villagers left in the village. When you go into the village, its like a ghost town, you hardly see anyone inside the village.
