He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, from Cairo University, in 1965. In 1971 he received a specialization in internal medicine. He was Chief of inner diseases Section in Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis 1974-1987. He was then Chief of inner diseases Section in Ahli Hospital in Gaza 1989-1993.
