Cloudland Memoirs is a collection of stories and anecdotes about life in places that are wild and uncultivated, yet extremely beautiful, in Papua New Guinea. Le Ferve and his wife Pat lived and worked in Papua New Guinea on and off since the 1960s. They were in different villages for two years at a time, learning and relearning the language as they moved from region to region with different dialects.
