I would recommend this book to everybody, all of us at one point in our lives struggle with body image issues. This book teaches us that we all have a weight our bodies feel comfortable in for optimum functioning-whether 'fat' or 'thin.' Linda teaches us to respect our bodies,something most us fail to do-your body will tell you when it is hungry or satisfied. She also touches on emotional mindfulness-why are we eating at that moment-is it because we are hungry or emotional? This book focuses on our bodily systems and how they affect our weight-YOUR BIOLOGY NOT DISCIPLINE determines your natural weight-That is why 2 people can have the exact same eating habits, one will gain weight and the other will not because food is not metabolised the same way and our fat storage mechanisms are different. Linda does not discourage us from trying to lose weight,this book simply says: Satisfy your hunger, if you are hungry,eat, NO Deprivation!-Eat mindfully,you may or may not lose weight but you will be at a weight where your body feels most comfortable in. This book also focuses on how government agencies and advertising industries keep us hooked on processed foods. Highly Recommend.
