Year of Grace Calendar (Calendar, 2003 ed.)

This year's vibrant Year of Grace calendar features the beloved story of Noah's ark. The center swirls with the living creatures that are saved along with Noah and his family. The outer images recount the experiences of Noah's family as they live in faithfulness to God's commands. Winter finds them busy building the ark that will keep them safe. Spring sees them snug in the ark, afloat on the waters of the great flood. In summer Noah releases the dove to search for dry land, and autumn finds the family building a home in a renewed land. Our circle-of-the-year calendar begins with the First Sunday of Advent. The Sundays of the year form the outer circle, and each spoke of the wheel represents a week. The seasons are defined by colors. Feast and fast days of the church, memorials of saints, Jewish and Muslim holy days, and national holidays of the United States and Canada are noted in place. On the back of each poster calendar, you will find a guide to the calendar, ideas for use, general information about the liturgical year, and information about the art and the artist. This helpful information is printed in six 8 1/2 x 11-inch blocks for easy photo copying, so you can conveniently make use of it without having to take your calendar off the wall.
