Friendly Relationships and Related Philosophy (Paperback)

This book presents a rational philosophical basis for a friendly activist movement aimed at making substantial, significant improvements in the world, in people's lives, through friendliness, ordinary friendliness in a sense, but not the norm in the current world in general. In other words, we know what friendliness means and we are friendly in some particulars with some individuals. But we need to apply it in a new way, pertaining to the world at large, the whole world society of which we are a part. This calls for a friendly activist movement, a deliberate, conscious effort to accomplish this end. The philosophy of "getbyism" is only indirectly related to this. The author, it happens, does espouse this philosophy, although it is not essential to the main philosophy of friendliness. But the two, realistically, can go hand in hand. The best way just to get by, might involve aggression or self-assertion.
