Lawn Green to Gold - The Story of Paralympian Madge Morgan MBE (Paperback)

This is the story of Madge and Mal Morgan. Now in their eighties and with 65 years of marriage behind them, Madge and Mal were recently invited to Buckingham Palace where the Queen awarded Madge an MBE for her services to sport for the visually handicapped. In her seventies and almost totally blind, and with Mal as her coach, she won trophy after trophy in competitive Lawn Bowls, with the highlight of representing Britain at the 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta. As they celebrate such a long and happy time together, and with as wide a range of trial and tribulation as you will find in an ordinary life, the MBE was a timely award which now takes pride of place in Madge's extensive awards cabinet.
