"(Signed) James Marky Du Crow." The other ran thus: --"Gammon to Jim Crow. "You 're a pretty sort of an Uncle, you are You 're an old fool. You ought to know better than to be capering about on horseback at your age. You 've ' given orders' about me, have you? You 're always ' giving orders.' No one would come and see you if you didn't. Shut up and go home. u QAMM0f4- The Traveller in a low voice uttered these words--" It is a family war." Then he took out a soiled pocket-handkerchief, dusted the saddle, and whisked it suddenly under his left arm. The Host murmured to himself, "Now I feel sure I am speaking to a waiter." The Horseman continued, " Which of the two has the best of it?" "The Marky so far. It is a better Circus. Besides, as luck would have it, when the Marky arrived he was able to offer higher terms to the Acrobatic family who had been engaged by the French Cirque Republicain, under Gammon, which, then, lost its chief attraction.
