A major break-through from the early new wave of Czech films. Hilariously funny, dramatic, and touchingly sad, profound satire and cheerful irreverence. There are many scenes and elements you won't easily forget. Terrific performance from the leading actors. Belongs in the collection of anyone serious about film.
