To receive the attention of the Nominating Committee, all names submitted to them by members of the Section shall be in writing and bear the endorsement of at least five members. Sec. 3. The officers shall be elected by ballot at the annual meeting in May and their term of office shall begin at the close of the meeting and last for one year or until their successors are elected. Sec. 4. A vacancy in any elective office may be filled by the Section at any meeting, provided notice is given at the previous meeting or in the call for the meeting. ARTICLE V DUTIES OF OFFICERS Section 1. President. It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of the Section and of the Executive Board; to appoint all Standing Committees and such special Committees as occasion may demand; and to perform such other duties as usually pertain to the office and as are specified in these By-Laws. Sec. 2. Vice-President. It shall be the duty of the Vice-President or the Vice-Presidents in their order to perform the duties of the President in her absence or temporary inability to serve. Sec. 3. Recording Secretary. It shall be the duty of the Recording Secretary to keep a correct record of all meetings of the Section and of the Executive Board. She shall be the custodian of all records belonging to the Section not specifically assigned to others. Sec. 4. Corresponding Secretary. It shall be the duty of the Corresponding Secretary to conduct the correspondence of the Section and of the Executive Board; to send out all notices of the meetings; to send to the Executive Committee of the Council by the first day of June, on blanks furnished...
