Abdelmalek Cherrad is an Algerian international football player of CS Mar timo. Cherrad started off his playing career with OGC Nice's reserve team in 1998. He played his first game for the first team in the 1999-2000 season, making 5 appearances. He stayed with the club until 2003, before he was loaned out to Belgian club K.A.A. Gent. He played 6 games with the club, scoring 2 goals but . After that, he had a brief spell with Tunisian side Esperence De Tunis. He signed with SC Bastia in January 2005 and stayed with the club for two years. In the summer of 2007 Bastia decided against renewing his contract and he was released.
