Memorandum, stating that Kino Henry The Fifth died at the castle of Bois de Vincennes, near Paris, on the last day of August 1422, in the tenth year of his reign, and was succeeded by his son King Henry The Sixth on the first day of September, in the first year of his age and of his reign - - - - - p. 3 30th September, 1 Hen. VI. 1422.--Minutes of Council. It was ordered that writs should be addressed to all the Lords of Parliament, Spiritual and Temporal, summoning them to attend the King's first Parliament, to be holden at Windsor, on Monday next before the feast of St. Martin in the winter: --That the commissions of the King's officers, such as the Treasurer, Barons of the Exchequer, Justices of the King's Bench and Common Pleas, &c, should be renewed; and that the Keeper of the Great Seal should be directed to issue letters patent to the persons appointed to fill the offices of Chamberlain of Chester, South Wales, and North Wales - p. 3 1* October, 1 Hen. VI. 1422.--Ibid. The Sheriffs of London were strictly commanded by the Chief Justice of the King's Bench to keep one Thomas Payne securely in the prison of Newgate, on pain of being deemed guilty of treason, in case Payne should be convicted of that offence, and if not, under penalty of the law, which would be arbitrary and severe - - -- - -p. 4 Srrf October, I Hen.
