A Curious Confluence (Electronic book text)

A young woman is called to Paris to settle the final affairs of her father. He had been on a multi-month visit there. But something went awry. A few months into the sojourn her father becomes a missing person. Then he is identified as the corpse found floating in the Seine. While waiting for the French legal system to adjudicate the situation, the young woman takes up residence in her father's apartment. He kept a blog. She starts to read it. A completely off-center tale begins to emerge. From the very first post he is telling a story that sounds like the ravings of a madman. Then she discovers the old journal referenced in the blog. Reading that journal, in juxtaposition with the blog, a genuinely bizarre story unfolds. That juxtaposition tells of the recommencement of a love story spanning millennia. A curious confluence is that story.
