Back pain is a common complaint of women during pregnancy, which is often neglected or under treated due to a misconceived idea that it is a normal occurrence that should not attract vigorous intervention. Consequently, management of back pain among pregnant women has not attracted major attention it deserved. McKenzie principle of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy has been found useful in the management of back pain in the general population worldwide; however, its usefulness as adjunct or main stay treatment approach among pregnant women suffering from back pain has not attracted much attention. To correct this shortcoming, this book provides useful insight to the utilization of the McKenzie principle of' "Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy" in the management of back pain among pregnant women. Also included in the book is a simple manual therapy approach to address the sacroiliac joint component to low back pain in pregnancy.
