The hardware and programming aspects are described using the Motorola 6809 and its support chips as a typical example of a real system. Each section begins with a general discussion of the subject, followed by a more detailed coverage relating to the M6809. The book assumes no more than a basic knowledge of computer architecture, such as could be obtained from the author's "From Logic to Computers".
