The book is intended to be a comprehensive exposition, firstly of the doctrine of the law of personality which recognises rights of personality as an independent, separate group of (subjective) rights, and secondly of the basis for and extent of the protection for the personality in South African law.
Professor Johann Neethling is Professor in the Department of Private Law, and a former Dean of the Faculty of Law, at the University of South Africa, Pretoria. He was awarded the Chancellor’s prize for best law researcher at Unisa in 1997.
