Patrizio Buanne - Life Is Beautiful - Dankie Suid-Afrika (CD)

Patrizio Buanne, Italian singing star, is about to release a unique and sensational brand new album on the EMI Music Label aimed at and recorded especially for South African audiences. This exciting and historic album has been recorded by silky-smooth crooner Patrizio on a recent special visit to South Africa. It is designed with the express purpose of saying Thank You/Dankie to his many legions of fans who have supported him and taken him into their hearts on each of his four previous visits to this country. In South Africa he has become a household name and much-loved popular personality, particularly because of his warm and friendly approach to entertainment. The album is tentatively to be titled Life is Beautiful, Dankie Suid Afrika and contains thirteen tracks of well-known and famous legendary South African songs sung in English and Afrikaans, and spiced with a touch of his native Italian, bringing a romantic edge to some of the beautiful ballads. All of the songs are uniquely South African, many of them ranking amongst the most famous and best-selling of all time in this country. The title track Life is Beautiful features a show-stopping ballad which finds Patrizio duetting with another extremely popular international song-bird, blonde Belgian Dana Winner, who is also much loved by South African audiences.

The two stars from Europe are scheduled to perform together on two big live concerts at the end of October in Johannesburg at Carnival Citys Big Top Arena, and in Cape Town at the Grand West Arena, in what will to be their first, and not-to-be-missed, stage collaboration. Tickets are already on sale at Computicket.

On his new album, in addition to the title-track collaboration with Dana winner, Patrizio has also sung five other duets, giving the collection excellent added value, with memorable songs featuring a hand-picked selection of top South African artists. From Who Painted the Moon with Nianell, to Ek Mis Jou Elke Dag n Bietjie Meer with Corlea Botha, Paradise Road with Ladysmith Black Mambaso, Jabulani with PJ Powers, and Liefling with Steve Hofmeyr, the album is loaded with all-new breathtaking collaborations never before presented together. To emphasise his strong passion and love for South Africa, Patrizio has further bravely undertaken to sing a number of all-time favourite South African classic Afrikaans songs which he does in his own inimitable warm and sincere vocal style. From Kinders van die Wind to Sonder Jou to Jy is my Liefling, Kaptein and Dankie, he presents his versions of some of South Africas greatest ever Afrikaans song treasures.
