Excerpt: ... JOURNAL OF PRISON DISCIPLINE AND PHILANTHROPY ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHTH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PENNSYLVANIA PRISON SOCIETY. The 128th Annual Meeting of THE PENNSYLVANIA PRISON SOCIETY was held January 15, 1915, at the office of the Society, S. W. Corner 5th and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia, President Joshua L. Baily in the Chair. Twenty-eight members were present. The minutes of the 127th Annual Meeting were read and approved. The Report of the Acting Committee was read by the Secretary. It was approved, and referred to the Editorial Committee. (See pages 7 to 14.) The Treasurer, John Way, produced a detailed statement of the receipts and disbursements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1914, accompanied by a list of the securities in his possession. This report having been duly audited was approved. (See page 15.) John A. Duncan, on behalf of the Committee on Nominations, presented a ticket containing the names of officers of the society and members of the acting committee to succeed those whose terms are about to expire. W. Graham Tyler and John B. Newkirk were appointed tellers, and the balloting having been completed, they reported that the persons named for the several offices and for the acting committee had each received 27 votes, being the full number of votes cast, whereupon the President announced that the officers and members of the acting committee, as named upon the ticket, had been unanimously elected, the officers for a term of one year and the fifteen members of the acting committee for three years each, dating from February 1, 1915.
