Education for Citizenship - Resource Pack for Schools (Spiral bound)

A resource pack for teachers of Citizenship, based on the direct experience of The Children's Society. The activities in the pack range from short classroom-based exercises to longer projects enabling students to work in the local community. Each activity is intended to heighten children's awareness and understanding of topical social issues and stimulate their interest, enthusiasm and initiative. Teachers can adapt this book to different levels of ability and to the time and resources available, making their own programme using the role-play, discussion, debate, surveys, games, interviews, design, creative writing and practical work suggested. The pack contains individually bound topic sections with photocopiable activity sheets, resource sheets, teacher's notes, a grid guide to components, cross-curricular skills and related subjects, a list of further reading for teacher and students, and photocopiable assessment sheets.
