Lake Lotawana is a city in Jackson County, Missouri, in the United States. The population was 1,872 at the 2000 census. Lake Lotawana is located at 38 55 36 N 94 15 12 W (38.926627, -94.253201). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.314 square miles (26.71 km2), of which, 9.514 square miles (24.64 km2) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2) of it (34.76%) is water. In 2011 the lake residents broke a world record for most people on a noodle in a lake at the same time.
