This work covers the biology, clinical description, immunopathogenesis, diagnostic testing methods, therapy and prevention of the recognized forms of viral hepatitis, acute and chronic. The work evaluates diagnostic serological techniques such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and polymerase chain reactions (PCRs).
