Juta's counselling handbook for healthcare professionals will help health professionals apply practical counselling principles to a range of healthcare situations in a South African context. Given the shortage of qualified counsellors and other mental health professionals in South Africa, healthcare workers without specialist knowledge are often called upon to counsel clients.
