As a biochemist then medical doctor, LIBRIUM and VALIUM were developed, followed by an NIMH post-doctoral fellowship, becoming a psychiatrist with court expert experiences and a San Quentin Prison therapist. He also recounts his memorable shipboard life experiences as a Ship's Surgeon.
