He is most remembered for his series of novels featuring the master criminal Dr Fu Manchu. Quest of the Sacred Slipper involves a triangle between an American crook. Scotland Yard and an unknown Oriental. The sacred slipper, rumored to have been worn by the great Prophet Mahomet has been stolen.
