Prof. Baker called attention to the fact that only 10 per cent. of the schools tabulated require drawing for admission. He emphasized the value of drawing not only to those intending to pursue an engineering course but also to all others; and urged that engineering schools were greatly in need of advance in this line, and that it would be comparatively easy to secure such advance. Prof. Tyler inquired whether Prof. Marvin, in the course of his investigations, had, in the first place, procured copies of entrance examinations actually used, or had depended on the statements printed in the various catalogues; in the second place, whether he had considered the general problem of entrance requirements in connection with the courses offered in Ma...
