"Beatles VI" (1965) is one of the more interesting of the US Capitol hodge-podge complilations released. Although it contnued the trend of compliling both album and single tracks from current or recent UK releases, it added two tracks recorded specifically for the US market: "Bad Boy" and "Dizzy Miss Lizzy", as well as two other tracks from the yet-to-be UK release of "Help!": "You Like Me Too Much" and "Tell Me What You See". Yet again a number of tracks were not in true Stereo, but were rather presented as re-processed "duophonic" (or fake stereo), resulting in unique mixes not available elsewhere. These mixes were in turn "folded down" (combining two channels into one), producing further unique Mono mixes not available elsewhere. These mixes were also treated with extra echo and reverb and are often referred to as the Dex Dexter mixes. However, this 2014 US CD, also included in the US Capitol "US Albums" boxset [reviewed elsewhere] DOES NOT CONTAIN the original US 1965 mixes, but the 2009 UK remasters, unlike "Beatles VI" on the US Capitol "Capitol Albums Vol 2" (2005) boxset [reviewed elsewhere]. Overall opinion: avoid and rather buy the US Capitol "Capitol Albums Vol 2" (2005) boxset [reviewed elsewhere].
