To Start a Little War (Hardcover, Illustrated edition)

When Major Kirt Ives finds himself retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years as an officer in the military police, the real battle begins. With former U.S. Navy commander Les Pierce, Ives leads a paramilitary group, the Indianapolis Rangers, in taking over the famous U.S.S. Kidd, a Navy destroyer salvaged from W.W. II and Korea.

Dissatisfied with the "politically-correct" direction of America, the Rangers begin their battle plans. The Rangers start to realize that the plan offers everything they have dreamed about -- the opportunity to first teach America a lesson and then to escape to a land of complete freedom with enough money to enjoy the good life.

The confrontation escalates as the Army launches an air attack and underestimates the capabilities of the crew and firepower now controlled by former veterans who are intent on their own version of the American dream.
