The Age of Deceit (Paperback)

In the novel The Age of Deceit, the life of Patrick Sullivan, a former police officer, now running a freelance consulting firm in the Southwest with the local PD, is put under a magnifying glass as one crime opens up something in him he'd never lost, but had always hid. Suspense, violence, and ultimately the truth come out. Since retiring his shield, Patrick has opened a police consulting firm working on small crimes and with the Rhylestead Police Department. After the death of his wife, he's seldom consulted, but as the novel opens with a crime he is quickly tied into, he finds himself in the middle of it all. The crime that opens the story opens the past, and makes it all seem and feel like a losing battle to catch an experienced killer. At times we watch through the eyes of the killer, an everyday man working on a vendetta that seems to be random, and at other times we follow the police and Patrick on their search to find someone with little to go on.
