Dale Meinert (December 18, 1933 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma - May 10, 2004 in Clinton, Oklahoma) is a former professional American football player. He played ten seasons in the National Football League for the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals. Previously he played three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. American football is a sport played between two teams of eleven with the objective of scoring points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Known in the United States simply as football, it may also be referred to informally as gridiron football.
