Sibahle Numeracy programme is based on the Revised National Curriculum Statements and the Outcomes Based approach which promotes life-long learning in Numeracy. The main objective of the series is to bring Numeracy learning programme to life by involving learners through practical experiences that are learner centered. Sibahle Numaeracy programme has three components namely, the Educator's Guide, the Learner's Book and the Workbook. By using the Learner's Book and the Workbook each learner is given the opportunity to demonstrate the level of achievement of the assessment standards. Learners also gain self-confidence and independence. The activities in each unit are enjoyable, exciting and at level of learners. They help learners develop a positive attitude towards Numeracy and cater for all learners' learning styles. Our materials are designed to encourage learners to use their senses to discover and learn about new concepts. The Educator's Guide assists the educator to plan activities for each unit by giving him/her ideas on how to approach each activity is based on critical outcomes, learning outcomes and assessment standards. The educator is guided on how to structure the lesson in terms of learning and teaching resources, how to introduce, present and conclude each lesson. Educators are also guided on what to assess for each activity.
