Excerpt: ...and the collection thereof enforced, in the same manner as other township taxes: It is however provided, That the lien for Extinguiahthe amount assessed for building said road upon any parcel ofstrwttax land may at any time be extinguished by the payment of the amount so assessed to the treasurer of said town of Springwells, either in money or in bonds issued under this act, in which case no tax shall be assessed upon the same parcel under the provisions of this section; and on the payment of such tax it shall he the duty of the township treasurer forthwith, in writing, to report the payment of such tax and the description of the land on which the same is paid to the county treasurer, and it shall he the duty of the county treasurer to enter upon said assessment roll in his office as aforesaid the payment of said assessment upon such parcel. Sec. 10. The said Fort street improvement board shall cause 1;oaltobe said road to be kept in good repair, and material shall be pair. applied thereon from time to time as required, to maintain said road in good condition; and said board are authorized, in Board may their discretion, to levy tolls (not exceeding those authorized v by section one thousand nine hundred and nine of the compiled laws, with the exemptions contained in section one thousand nine hundred and ten of the compiled laws of this State) om all persons traveling over said road; and the amount of all tol, s t0. tolls thus collected, less the expense of collecting the same, roaTM shall be applied toward the expense of maintaining said road iii good order; and the cost of labor and material for such repairs, which shall not be derived by tolls, shall be provided for by the township board, and the amount thereof shall be raised by tax on..
