Sure, We're For It During the last year, I have been very much and increasingly interested in the possibilities along sheep lines in connection with sheep club work in this state. I have also wondered in this connection as to just how far the sheep club idea has been carried on in other states and also as to the nature of the work which they are doing, whether it is on a grade basis or a registered basis. In this connection, I wish to state that I know of no better way of furthering the interest which the farmers of the section may have in a breed, more thoroughly than in interesting the young people in sheep club workusing bred ewes of that particular breed. It has seemed to me for some time that the leading sheep breed associations have been missing a wonderfully good bet, in passing up as much as they have the sheep club idea. I should think that our sheep associations such as the Hampshire, Shropshire, Oxford, Lincoln, and possibly one or two others, could well afford to put some money into club prizes, that are needed at our leading state and international expositions. It may be that one or two of these associations are doing so now, but it is not being done generally by the breed associations which I have just mentioned. Personally, I would like very much to see a boys and girls sheep club page in your Sheep Breeder. This page to be devoted to sheep club doings in the various states, letters from sheep club members and photos of their sheep and lambs. Insofar as I am concerned, I a sure that the sheep club members in this state would be pleased indeed to send you articles and photos of this nature, and I believe you would be doing a splendid work in...
