Thermodynamics of Critical Phenomena - New Analysis of the Evaluation of Properties (Hardcover)

,
In this book, the authors consider newly established features of the thermodynamic properties in the critical region in the liquid-gas systems obtained as a result of the application of a new method of the complex analysis of the differential thermodynamic equations, model analytical equations of state, the lattice-gas model, the scaling theory, and the experimental data. The results of such an analysis allow one to describe the thermodynamic properties of individual substances with a higher accuracy and thus create prerequisites for the construction of a unified equation of state that would be valid in the whole existence range of the liquid and gas. The book is addressed to research workers engaged in power engineering, cryogenic technology, thermal and molecular physics, and physical chemistry. It is equally useful to students and post-graduate workers at colleges and universities.
