Eating disorders affect not only those afflicted, but spouses, partners, children, family and friends. Eating disorders often come from a combination of psychological, interpersonal and social environments. The aim of this book is to create a dialogue between adults, children and their clinicians, and to help children understand why their loved one with an eating disorder is behaving in certain ways. Often, people with eating disorders feel like they are different from others, they need loving, caring and compassionate people around them.
