The Denf-Mutes Voire has been received and.we are happy to know that the Mississippi-School will soon, open again. Nov. 24 is the date set for opening. scenic beauties and rich recourees of where "Rolls the Oregon"? Pupils should take some form of exercise every day as walking, out door game?, etc. Good health is necessary to good improvement in the school room. W c think however that such games as football should have no place on this program. Its brutality has been proven by the many that have b: cn kilKd. or injured for life by it. We have heard of thre that have be-n killed in this country since the season opened. Who can nphold such game with these f ctsin front of them? Of course pupils having a friendly game among themselves are not liable to any serious injures, but we dothink that it is a great mistake to let them go out ami play with other teams. The "Tahoma;" which-is published at the Tacoma High School was received a few days ago. We welcome with much pleasure this new addition to-our reading rooms. We are in receipt of the annual report cf the School: for the Deaf at Staunton Virginia, and the twelfth annual report of the Northern New York Institution, for Deaf mutes. We take this opportunty for expressing our thanks for same. We read with interest the article in the Kelly Messenger on the manner of conducting evening study. We heartily indorse what was said.
