Acts of the Apostles (Hardcover)

These volumes are part of a series of bibliographies on the books of the Hebrew and Christian Bibles as well as the deutero-canonicals. Each compiler is working within the general framework that citations are to works publishing within the twentieth century that make contributions to the understanding of the text and backgrounds of the various books. The arrangement for the entries, in most volumes, consists of three divisions: scriptural citations; subject citations; commentaries. Multiple citations by scriptural citation are included where relevant. The bibliographies provide an index to the journal articles, essays in collected works, books and monographs, dissertations, commentaries, and various encyclopedia and dictionary articles published in the twentieth century. Technical works of scholarship, from many differing traditions, constitute the bulk of the citations, though some selected works that reinterpret the research to a wider audience have been included.
