This volume consists of the manual of the Ancient York Rite. In the preparation of the work, the writer endeavored to present to the Craft a practical working book pruned of all esoteric and unnecessary matter, and so arranged that the regular business of the Lodge might be facilitated, and that the monitorial or exoteric part of Freemasonry could be more readily used in conferring the degrees of the Ancient York Rite in accordance with American usages.
