Excerpt: ... married Mary Jane Burke, who was born in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. They had five daughters and one son. All live in Rochester. The eldest daughter married Dr. Baker; the other children are unmarried. She received her education at Lima Academy (now Syracuse University), and was married in 1877, at Binghampton, N. Y., by Rev. Samuel Dunham. She went west with her husband first to Milwaukee and afterward to Clyde, Kansas, where her daughter Nellie Olivia was born, in 1878. In 1879 she returned east with her husband and daughter to Rochester, N. Y. They first resided at No. 98 Williams street, then removed to No. 60 Williams street; present residence No. 44 Gibbs street. She attends the Second Baptist Church with her husband, where she is a member of the choir. Mary E. Mcknight, Wife Of John D. Mcknight, Esq., Of Springfield, Mass. Mary E. (Hubbard) McKnight, wife of John D. McKnight, of Springfield, Mass., was born at Seneca Falls, N. Y., Nov. 12, 1841. Her parents, Hiram Williams Hubbard and Mary Sloan Galpin, early settlers at Seneca Falls, formerly resided at Berlin, Conn. Her mother was granddaughter of Dr. Allan MacLean (see History of the Clan MacLean, by Prof. J. P. MacLean, Urbanna, Ill). Two daughters survive. Mrs. McKnight received her education at Seneca Falls Academy, was married in that city by the Rev. Dr. Eddy, and went to Springfield to reside. Her five children were born at Springfield. She together with her husband are members of the South Congregational Church. In company with her husband and children, Florence and Robert, she visited the western members of the McKnight circle, in August, 1889.
